Do you have those basic wood stools somewhere in your home? We have had ours for over 20 years for sure! And although I love having them, I have grown tired of their basic and beat-up look. Today, I will show you how you can have updated Basic Wood Stools with a few simple steps. This project took me 2 days total (drying time included) and only required a mouse sander, a simple decal/stencil, black chalk paint, and some type of clear coat.
I adore comfort food and lots of cheese! My favorite and easiest recipe of Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo hits all of the comfort food feels for our family. It is very cheesy and super delicious. And although I serve it with a side salad full of healthy vegetables, this meal definitely fits into the comfort food category.
Today, I made Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo for my family because my kiddos actually ask for it. When I ask everyone, “So, what meal would you like me to put on the weekly menu?” 99% of the time, this one makes the list. (I’ll share others with you over the next few months.)
The winter months bring a slow-down of egg production on the farm. Shorter daylight hours and colder weather give our hens the okay to not lay as often, giving us a much lower farm fresh egg count daily. There are even days when I do not get any eggs for our family.
With the warmer weather and longer daylight hours, our hens go into overdrive. Now that spring has hit the farm and it is starting to warm up so quickly, our chickens are laying like crazy. Y’all! I’m telling you, we get anywhere between 12 to 22 eggs a day! A DAY! A for a family of 4, there is just NO WAY we can eat that many eggs. So, I have learned a way to preserve our farm fresh eggs for the winter months when our chickens are taking a break.
Welcome to the Farm! We are SO thankful you are here. The journey on our farm started a little over two years ago. Not sure how the hubby felt but we three girls all wanted land and animals so much that we could almost see it in our minds as if we were there. We had discussed it time and time again over dinner but each time, we put the idea in the back of our minds because we didn’t ever think it would be a reality.
